Dear NCA Members,
I am honored to serve as your new NCA President. I have been a member of NCA since 2004 and have served on the executive board in several positions for the past 16 years. These positions include: President-Elect, Program Chair, Membership Chair, Secretary, High School Scholarship Committee, Administrator of the Year Committee, Career Day Co-Chair and End of Year Awards Co-Chair.
Since I was a graduate student, it was important to me to get involved in the direction of my chosen career of counseling. I started out volunteering on the Career Day committee and after a few years, proudly took over as co-chair of the event. From there, I moved up the “NCA ladder,” leaving me ready, willing and excited to serve as President.
My goal over the next two years is to not only increase membership, but to increase counseling participation in our organization, most especially by modeling this goal by personally continuing to give of my time and experience on a variety of NCA committees. I hope you all will do the same! I look forward to seeing you all at our future events.
Sincerely,
Meghan Schlosser
